What is the difference between custom framing and self-framing?
All custom framing is made using 100% wood frames. This service includes the choice of three colours (Black, White and Raw Oak Style), a 75mm acid-free conservation grade mat board, professional conservation grade hinging, and full protection with glass (UV glass protection available at cost upon request). Importantly, all the techniques used are reversible and will not damage your fine art print.
Please note: self-framing using non-conservation methods or materials may void the archival rating of your print and degrade the quality of the work over time. See our product care page for further details.
What is a frameless acrylic print?
It is a fine art print vacuum sealed onto a 4.5mm laser cut piece of clear perspex with a hidden aluminium backing frame. Ready to hang it will appear floating 1-2cm away from the wall. The finish is frameless and glass like in appearance with a very sleek and modern look.
What is the difference between a fine art giclee print and a standard digital print?
The Giclée print method is used for producing edition prints from limited edition original artworks or photographs using modern wide format digital inkjet fine art printers.
The word giclée is a French language derivation referring to squirt or spray, thus "spraying of ink".
The Giclée printing method delivers a fine stream of archive rated pigment ink on fine art papers, resulting in vivid, pure colour, and exceptional detail most suitable for exhibition display and sale as high-end fine art prints. It is also regarded as one of the most stable colour printing processes available today. It is a process that uses a 12 colour inkjet printer, acid-free papers, and pigment based archival inks. This ensures that your prints will never degrade or yellow over time and allows a better longevity. Your digital giclée prints are produced on genuine fine art printers using archival pigment inks with lightfastness ratings of 100 years.
What if I change my mind?
Unfortunately, we cannot offer returns or refunds as our fine art prints are made to order.
How do I handle my fine art print?
All fine art prints are twice screened for any blemishes and imperfections before being passed onto clients: once by the printer and a second time in the artist's studio. Unframed prints are shipped in industrial tubes for extra protection and should be stored so until framed. Due to their delicate nature, prints should only be handled by a professional framer or the owner using gloves.
Please see our product care page for further details on how to care for your purchase.
What should I do when receiving my print?
It is important that all prints (and packaging) are inspected by the client within 48 hours of delivery and any concerns addressed in writing within this timeframe. Should we not hear from you within 48 hours, the purchase is deemed to have been accepted in good order and condition.
Why should I invest in art?
There are many reasons why people choose to invest in art. Antuanelle’s clients include private residential and commercial owners, that are looking for statement pieces to make an impact in their space. Her clients appreciate Antuanelle's professional and collaborative approach; in keeping with the clients' individual palette, style and brief.
